Caring for families is a privilege. Our Medical Surgical Unit is designed to care for the pediatric to geriatric patient. We care for a variety of diagnoses and strive to personalize each patient’s care. Each patient will be placed in their own room for the utmost privacy.

Hours

We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
365 days a year.

Visiting Hours

We are located on the second floor. Posted visiting hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

We strongly recommend that visitors other than immediate family visit after 1:30 PM to provide the least amount of interruption to patient care.

To help facilitate continuity of care, we ask that you avoid calling between the hours of 6am-7:30am and 6pm-7:30pm due to change of shift.

We encourage a family member of pediatric and/or critically ill patients to stay at the bedside 24/7. Guest meal trays are available upon request.

“Generalized Knowledge, Specialized Care”

Services special to our floor include: pre- and post-operative care of inpatient surgeries, telemetry for those patients who need their heart rhythm monitored, specialty physician consults available, and care specific to your diagnosis.

Special Information

Our floor is professionally staffed with licensed RN’s, LPN’s, and CNA’s. Staff retains their specialized skills through monthly in-services, age-specific education, along with seminars, annual skills labs, and hospital-wide education. Our staff takes the time to be genuinely interested in you and your family to provide the best care possible.

You will be seen daily by your family physician and routinely by a licensed nurse. A certified nurse’s aide is available to assist with personal care and to make sure that you are comfortable at all times. Please let us know how we can better meet your needs.
