Dr. A. Baher is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is an Internalist for Adams Memorial Hospital. He assists with patient care for AMH inpatients as needed. Dr. David Coats is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dr. Coats earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in May of 2000 from Indiana University. Dr. Colclasure graduated from Indiana University. He completed his internship at Ball Memorial and his residency at Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Harvey is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He is a 1994 graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Florida Hospital Family Practice. Dr. Kathleen Heimann has become the newest physician on the staff of Adams Memorial Hospital after joining Drs. Crystal Jencks and Jessamine Hippensteel in their Decatur Family Medicine practice.
Dr. Heimann is accepting new patients to the Decatur Family Medicine group as well as obstetric patients. A hospital announcement said “Dr. Heimann has a special gift in relating to and educating her patients plus she is fluent in Spanish.”
The new AMH physician graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. degree in Neurophysiology and a B.A. degree in Spanish. She attended Western University in Ponoma, California, where she obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and completed an OMT Fellowship and Masters of Professional Adult Education.
She also recently completed her Family Practice Residency with the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. During her residency program, Dr. Heimann worked at both the Stat Care Clinic at Adams Memorial Hospital and with the Rappid Care Clinic in Fort Wayne. She has been a coordinator at the Matthew 25 Clinic in Fort Wayne serving indigent and uninsured patients.
Dr. Heimann holds certifications in Advanced Trauma and Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics and Pediatrics, and Neonatal Resuscitation. She has also recently completed training to become the first AMH physician to be certified as an IMPACT concussion management physician.
Dr. Heimann noted she has a special interest in women’s reproductive health and in that regard has pursued additional training in NaProtechnology, an emerging science that treats among other things, infertility.
She is married to Decatur native Kyle Heimann and they and their two young sons reside in Decatur.

Dr. Hippensteel joined AMH in July of 2011. She is Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. Hippensteel enjoys providing OB care, and has surgical privileges to perform C-sections at Adams Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hippensteel received her degree from Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky. She completed her residency from Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in Family Practice. Osteopathic Family Physicians are DO’s (Doctors of Osteopathy) who specialize in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment, a method in which they use their hands to diagnose and treat the patient, giving particular attention to joints, bones, muscles, and nerves. DO's promote a patient-centered approach to medical care. Dr. Ishak is Board Certified in Psychiatry, and works with adolescents, adults, and seniors. He graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, and completed his residency at Finch University in Chicago, IL. Dr. Ishak is the Psychiatrist for Adams Memorial Hospital’s Behavioral Health Department.

Dr. Jencks is Board Certified in Family Practice. She graduated from Indiana University/Purdue University at Indianapolis in 2000, completed medical school at Ross University in 2006, and completed the Ft. Wayne Medical Education Family Practice Residency in 2009. Dr. Jencks went into the medical profession with the idea of serving others. She is very interested in family medicine and in treating the whole patient. She believes in building relationships with her patients to provide the best possible care.

Dr. Liu joined AMH in June of 2012. Liu is Board Certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He also completed a Fellowship in Neurophysiology. Dr. Liu completed his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine at Shandong Medical University in China in 1990. He completed his Master of Science in research and microbiology from University of Miami in 1998, and did research in Immunology and Microbiology at University of Pennsylvania until 2002. Dr. Liu completed his Neurology Residency training at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in June 2006, and finished his Fellowship in Neurophysiology in 2007 also at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Liu then worked as a Neurologist at both St. James Hospitals in Chicago, IL and then Lutheran Health Network in Ft. Wayne, IN before coming to Adams Health Network. Dr. Liu will serve as both a Hospitalist and provide in-patient care as well as seeing patients on an out-patient basis in a Neurology Clinc in the Strickler Cancer Institute on the Adams Memorial Hospital Campus. Dr. Tony Nigliazzo joined AMH in July of 2012. Dr. Nigliazzo is an Oklahoma native. He earned his B.A. degree in Political Science/International Relations in 1998 from the University of Central Oklahoma. Dr. Nigliazzo then received his Medical Degree in 2007 from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and went on to complete his Residency as a General Surgeon from Michigan State University in June of 2012 where he served as Chief Surgical Resident. Dr. Nigliazzo has been a clinical instructor at both the MSU College of Human Medicine and College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2007. He received the Outstanding Resident Teacher award at Michigan State for 2009-2010. He has published numerous research papers and has been a presenter at a number of medical conferences in the past several years. During his residency in general surgery, he became a training instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support, completed training in endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery, and has received advanced training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Dr. Nigliazzo will also specialize in thyroid procedures, hernia repair, appendicitis, wound care, gall bladder/laparoscopic cholecystectomy, gynecological, and cancer related surgeries. Dr. Nussbaum completed his undergraduate degree from Wabash College, graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. Dr. Rao is Board Certified by the American Board of Rheumatology. He specializes in treatment of arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, system lupus, and general rheumatology. Dr. Rao utilizes ultrasound technology to visualize musculoskeletal problems in major joints. He then targets medicine to the problematic joint such as the shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, or wrist to help improve pain.
